SERVICE MANAGER
Preston Refrigeration is seeking a Service Manager to join its growing team of professionals.

Summary:
The Service Manager position is responsible for managing the performance of the Service Technicians located at various job sites across the United States.
Responsibilities:

Oversees team responses to providing service and customer support.

Manages work on all installation, repair, maintenance and testing required to resolve problems, verifies that completed work meets conformance to blueprints, specifications and safety standards.

Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists Team Members in solving work problems as needed.

Oversees start-up equipment upon completion of construction.

Develop and maintain a highly-motivated team atmosphere with positive attitudes amongst crew members.

Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.

Schedule personnel within the department to get maximum performance for scheduled hours while on job sites.

Keep neat and accurate records on personnel within department as to vacation time, personal days, sickness, death in family, leave of absence, etc.

Willingness to travel as needed throughout the continental US.

Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, brings problems to the attention of the Safety Director.

Adheres to Preston Refrigeration guidelines for expense reports and submits to Payroll Specialist in a timely manner.

Maintain a neat and clean appearance and motivated, positive attitude.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Create & maintain a team atmosphere within department and with other departments. Responsibilities include interviewing, assist in hiring, motivating and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
-
Ability to travel 90%-100% of the time with overnight stays when required.

Proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience with Vista Viewpoint a plus.

Experience managing employees.
-
Effective communication skills.

Construction Management, design and drafting education Refrigeration and/or Construction experience a plus
